The Energy and Mining Sector

South Australia is seizing new opportunities as the world pursues more efficient ways of living and working. Our State leads Australia in renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal and wave power, and is developing internationally recognised expertise in water security and treatment.

Over 530 full-time jobs will be created through the construction of major energy projects, including the Tesla and Neoen battery project – the largest of its kind in the world - at Jamestown, Solar Reserve’s proposed solar thermal plant, also the biggest of its kind. OZ Minerals’ recently announced Carrapateena copper project will create up to 1,000 new jobs in regional South Australia, while a further 100 jobs will be created through increased gas exploration – all adding to the already hugely important resources sector in South Australia.

These projects will build a sustainable and reliable energy network, and create more job opportunities for South Australians as the industry continues to grow. Come talk to industry leaders such as Neoen, Tesla, Solar Reserve, Santos, BHP and OZ Minerals at JOBEX, and find out how you can benefit from the opportunities that are already emerging.

JOBEX Adelaide will feature over 100 of the State’s leading businesses including Tesla and BHP from the Energy and Mining sector.
